The financial and operational responsibility for recycling in New Brunswick has shifted from Regional Service Commissions, entities and First Nations to the organizations that produce and sell packaging and paper.

Circular Materials is the producer responsibility organization that is responsible for managing the extended producer responsibility recycling system in New Brunswick.

Recycle More Starting October 1: Alberta Fully Transitions to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Bringing Economic and Environmental Benefits to the Province

287 communities across Alberta will benefit from an enhanced and expanded producer-managed recycling system operated by not-for-profit Circular Materials. With this shift, producers will now cover approximately $110 million in annual costs previously funded by municipalities and taxpayers.
