Be recycle ready

  • Rinse containers to remove any residue and avoid contaminating other recyclables.
  • Flatten and break down all cardboard material to save space and ensure it is recycled.
  • Place materials loosely in the recycling container.

What’s accepted

Newspaper/Magazines/Catalogues/Phone Books

  • Boxboard and cardboard can be placed together
  • Includes glossy flyers
  • Writing & mailing papers
  • Photocopy paper & envelopes
  • Please keep newspaper separate from cardboard
  • Please put shredded paper in clear bags

Corrugated Cardboard

  • Layered cardboard boxes
  • Please fold cardboard

Boxboard

  • Cereal, detergent, shoe boxes

Glass Bottles & Jars

  • Clear/coloured food & beverage containers
  • Please remove lids and place in garbage
  • Please keep separate from cans and plastic

Metal Food & Beverage Containers

  • Steel & aluminum food & beverage cans
  • Please rinse containers
  • Aluminum foil trays
  • Jar lids can be placed with metal food products
  • Tetra Paks and cartons

Plastic Bottles & Jars

  • Containers marked with #1 to #6
  • No styrofoam peanuts or packing styrofoam
