Be recycle ready

  • Sort recycling by containers and papers.
  • Flatten all boxes and empty and rinse all containers. This includes your food and beverage cartons.

Transfer stations

The Municipality of Trent Lakes has four Transfer Station Sites. You can bring your residential recycling to one of the Transfer Station Sites for recycling.

Here is a list of the Transfer Station Sites and their locations:

    Summer hours

    Summer hours are in effect from April 15 to September 15 and include:

    • Sunday – 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    • Monday – Closed
    • Tuesday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Wednesday – Closed
    • Thursday – Closed
    • Friday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Saturday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    Winter hours

    Winter hours are in effect from September 16 to April 14 and include:

    • Sunday – 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Monday – Closed
    • Tuesday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Wednesday – Closed
    • Thursday – Closed
    • Friday – Closed
    • Saturday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    2023 Christmas Holiday Hours:

    All Transfer Station Sites will be open 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the following dates:

    • Christmas Eve – Sunday, December 24
    • New Year’s Eve – Sunday, December 31

     All Transfer Station Sites will be open on the following holiday Mondays:

    • Victoria Day from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    • Civic Holiday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    • Labour Day from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    • Thanksgiving Day from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    All Transfer Station Sites will be closed on:

    • Christmas Day
    • New Year’s Day
    • Easter Monday
    • Canada Day
    • Family Day
