April 3 update: collection has been delayed due to storm recovery across the City of Greater Sudbury, and collection will be occurring as followed below:
Original Collection Date: Thursday, April 2, 2026
Recover Date: Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4
Original Collections Date: Friday, April 3, 2026
Recover Date: Monday, April 6
Residential collection will continue over the Easter weekend. Please be aware that collection is not occurring as usual – crews are experiencing much higher-than-normal volumes, as a result, in most areas your Blue Box material will not be co-collected with your green cart organics. The collections will occur on the same day but could be several hours apart.
To help ensure a safe and efficient collection, please follow the guidelines below:
Place items at the curb until 7:00 p.m. on your scheduled collection day.
If not collected, please return items to the curb by 7:00 a.m. the following day.
Do not place materials or boxes on snowbanks.
Set materials in the mouth of your driveway, clearly visible to drivers.
Excess materials may be set out in clear bags or an open cardboard box no larger than 30” x 30”.
In all areas, please yield to collection vehicles and exercise caution when nearby.
Please reach out to WM if you have any questions at 1-800-561-1655 or email canresidential@wm.com.
