Yukon Engagement Process

Circular Materials is the not-for-profit producer responsibility organization (PRO) that will be supporting producers in meeting their Extended Producer Responsibility Regulation obligations for packaging, paper and single-use products (PPP) under the Government of Yukon’s Environment Act, released on January 25, 2024.

This includes submitting a Stewardship Plan on behalf of the producers who have selected Circular Materials to act as their PRO to ensure the Stewardship Plan represents the interests of stakeholders. We will be engaging producers, local governments, First Nations and service providers in a comprehensive and meaningful stakeholder engagement process, which is outlined in more detail below.

We encourage stakeholders to participate in our stakeholder engagement process and provide feedback on the Stewardship Plan prior to submission to the Government of Yukon’s Department of Environment.

To support feedback, in late May, Circular Materials will release its draft Stewardship Plan in advance of the stakeholder engagement sessions. Registrants will be notified by email when the plan is available.

Have Your Say

We invite you to join our stakeholder engagement meetings where we will review Circular Materials’ approach for the Yukon, the timeline leading up to the launch of EPR in the territory, and provide an opportunity for input, feedback and questions.
