Toronto, ON – Circular Materials is strengthening its commitment to youth education and recycling by announcing new partnerships with Earth Rangers and EcoSchools Canada, two of Ontario’s leading environmental education organizations. As the administrator of the Ontario Common Collection System, Circular Materials is pleased to support recycling in schools as the province transitions to a new extended producer responsibility model for packaging and paper products. These new partnerships offer education and engagement programs that foster positive recycling habits and environmental leadership among Ontario students.
“At Circular Materials, we know real impact isn’t achieved alone. It’s through collaboration with organizations like Earth Rangers and EcoSchools Canada that we can reach more Ontario students and families, giving them the tools and knowledge they need to lead on recycling and sustainability,” said Allen Langdon, CEO of Circular Materials. “Together, we’re making it easier for the next generation to take positive action, every day.”
The partnership with Earth Rangers brings engaging school assemblies and classroom activities to hundreds of elementary schools, combining live events, digital learning and take-home resources centered on how recycling protects wildlife and supports communities.
“Impact scales when we work together. Through our partnership with Circular Materials, we’re helping young people see how their everyday choices shape the health of our planet and how they can be recycling leaders in their schools and households,” said Tovah Barocas, President of Earth Rangers.
Simultaneously, Circular Materials and EcoSchools Canada are working together to embed new recycling resources into the national school certification process. Updated action cards, contests and new digital toolkits will help schools participate in more meaningful ways, and will provide targeted supports in regions across the country.
“Change is most powerful when driven by collective action. Together with Circular Materials, EcoSchools Canada is supporting schools to strengthen recycling practices and lead creative waste‑reduction initiatives in classrooms and communities across Ontario,” said Sierra Frank, Co‑Executive Director of EcoSchools Canada.
By connecting with trusted voices in education, Circular Materials is ensuring that students, teachers and families have more resources than ever before to turn learning into real, lasting action for a healthier environment.
