About Circular Materials

Circular Materials is a national not-for-profit organization that builds efficient and effective recycling systems across Canada. These recycling systems ensure materials are collected, recycled and returned to producers for to use as recycled content in new products and packaging.

Circular Materials is committed to designing recycling systems that are efficient, effective and meet the needs of Canadians.

The impact of recycling

Saves resources

Recycling aluminum cans saves up to 95% of the energy required to make new cans.

Saves water

Recycling one tonne of paper can save up to 26,000 litres of water. That’s enough to fill 173 standard bathtubs.

Saves trees

Recycling just one tonne of paper can save up to 17 trees.
