class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3dcc0bb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3dcc0bb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>New Brunswick\u2019s Designated Materials Regulation under the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/laws.gnb.ca\/en\/showdoc\/cs\/C-6\"><em>Clean Environment Act<\/em><\/a>\u00a0shifts responsibility for recycling materials to producers &#8211; the organizations that produce packaging and paper.<\/p><p>On November 1, 2023, the province began transitioning recycling programs to an extended producer responsibility (EPR) framework.<\/p><p>In July 2024, the Government of New Brunswick released the updated Designated Materials Regulation with the intent to standardize requirements for the various EPR and stewardship programs across New Brunswick. To meet the new regulation, Circular Materials submitted a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.circularmaterials.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/251216-Circular-Materials-New-Brunswick-Stewardship-Plan-for-Packaging-Paper-2026-2028.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stewardship Plan<\/a> on behalf of producers for 2026-2028.
