      \n \n How do I know if I am exempt under the Regulation?<\/span> <\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/path><\/svg><\/span><\/span> <\/div>\n\n

      To be exempt under\u00a0the Regulation<\/a>, you must be:<\/p>

      1. a society incorporated under the\u00a0Societies Act<\/a>,<\/em>\u00a0except a society incorporated for educational purposes such as a university or college within Nova Scotia; or<\/li>
      2. a small producer with a gross annual revenue of less than $1 million a year or that supplies less than 1 tonne of designated material in a year.<\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

        Packaging, paper products and packaging-like products are designated under the Regulation, which includes paper, rigid plastic, flexible plastic, glass and metal.<\/p>

        Program does not include materials from an existing stewardship program: pressurized gas\/hazardous products, product designed for the containment of waste, packaging used to contain or transport refillable beer containers, or books.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
